A New Thing - 12/31/2025

Can you believe today is the last day of 2025? Can we shout a Hallelujah for seeing the last day. God is so good!

When it comes to the end of the year it brings in many mixed emotions. Some of us accomplished a lot, some may feel, not much was accomplished and it may cause you to feel discouraged about the new year. I am reminded of one of my favorite verses in the world! If you know me, Ive probably used this verse to edify you!

Isaiah 43:18-19

“Do not remember the former things,
Nor consider the things of old.

Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.

God instructs us to not remember the old, the past. He reminds us that He will do a new thing He will make what seems impossible possible! To some people this might sound like a myth or folklore but no we serve a God who is a waymaker. Who makes a way in the wilderness- rivers in the desert. All this is God essentially breaking protocol to bring the new to you. So whatever you feel did not work out for you in 2025, prepare for the new in 2026.

But lets be honest, it doesnt just happen. You might ask, well what I gotta do? 1. Believe His Word is true (that is the main way you will profit from it). 2. Make a decision to abide with Him daily, read John 15: 1-7, another favorite passage - that was my theme for 2025 and I will continue that in 2026 so I encourage you all to join me and abide with  Him daily. 

I hope you take some time today and reflect in 2025 - the wins, the losses, the highs and lows. So you can prepare for a new thing in 2026.

Happy New Year! - January

So, I recently completed the Bible In a year last week. Woohoo! This was my second time completing this grand task, to be honest I was ok doing it one time and continuing with my devotional and reading a chapter here and there.

However, in 2025 my word for the year was “To Abide”. So I asked him, well Lord, what does that practically look like?  I was led to John 15 - Here Jesus paints a vivid picture of what it looks like to abide in Him (read the chapter if you haven’t, its a gem). After reading it knew I needed to remain in the Vine (Jesus) so that I could bear MUCH fruit…in and out of season. The most practical way to abide was to stay connected to His word….daily.

Matter of fact, Joshua 1:8 says, “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful “ —- those 2 words at the end, prosperous and successful are fruits to being connected to the vine. This year, challenge yourself to read His Word daily — stay connected to the Source. It is life for your spirit - Just like you would never deprive your body of food, don't deprive your spirit of its nutrients. Yes do it out of obligation, you may not feel like it but do it anyway. 

I personally didn't want to read the whole Bible and I’ll be the first to tell you, free of charge, it is a daunting task mmmmhhmmmm, it was. But I made a commitment to show up daily and the fruits of it shows. 2025 was a crazy year for most. The storms came but there was no withering over here. Isaiah 26:3 tells us “You will keep in perfect peace those whose mind is stayed on Him”. God is no respecter of person. 

So I want to encourage you today bring that Good ol’ Bible out, 2000 + years later its still one of the best sellers and its for a reason. Bring it out, feed your spirit, you just might find some scriptures to pray with and add to your P.U.S.H Journal . 😊

Stay Connected to the Vine in 2026,

Be Guarded By His Peace - June Post

Hello there!

Happy Wednesday and welcome to the 2nd month of 2026! How has this year been for you? I pray it has been filled with clarity and direction especially since we are still in the first quarter.

We are still on the theme of peace this season. This is where I found us and we will keep riding with peace until the Holy Spirit says other wise 🤗.

This weeks scripture is from Philippians 4:6-7 , a go to scripture on anxiety and peace. As I stated earlier we are in the second month of the year and so much has happened for a lot of us and it can come with anxiety and being overwhelmed but on this hump day called Wednesday I want to encourage you to take a breath, * come on, breathe in and breathe out* I just had to do that myself. As you breathe in meditate on what Paul tells us in that verse.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. And He will give you a peace that surpasses all understanding, to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.”

So, as you sit with this Word, ask yourself:

• Have you prayed about it?
• Have you thanked Him for the outcome, even though you haven’t seen it yet?
• Have you laid it at His feet?
• What is guarding your heart right now — anxiety or peace?

Now, this is not to say anxiety won’t try to come. It might — especially if it thinks it has a place to reside. But you have the authority to evict it with the Word of God.

As you navigate the rest of this week and those anxious thoughts try to spring up, keep this scripture close. Let His peace overwhelm you. Let it saturate you.

Halfway Through the Year: Time to Take Inventory - July

Welcome to the month of July! We are officially halfway through the year. Summer is in full bloom, the kids are out of school, and vacation plans are underway, that is...if you haven't already taken yours! 😊

 

This is also a great time to take inventory of the goals and resolutions we set at the beginning of the year. Are we on track, or have we fallen off course? If you've drifted away from what you set out to do, this is your reminder: get back on it, sis. get back on it bro. There is still plenty of year left.

 

This year, I've been spending a lot of time in the book of Joshua, heavy stuff, mmmk? I truly believe Joshua was one of the greatest warriors in the Old Testament. But let me not digress, because I don't want this to turn into a sermon.

 

By this point in the story, the Israelites had entered the Promised Land and taken territory, but they had not yet fully possessed it. Why? Because possessing the land required more than entering it. They had to clear out everything that stood in the way of fully inhabiting what God had given them.

In Deuteronomy, God instructed them to drive out the inhabitants of the land completely. Yet when we read the story, we see that they only partially obeyed. Some people were driven out, some were allowed to stay through treaties(Gibeonites..sneaky, sneaky but I'll give it to them. See the Israelites should have inquired of the Lord but thats another topic), and others were kept as forced laborers.

As I was reading, I found myself asking a personal question:

**What or who has God called me to drive out so that I can fully possess my Promised Land?**

And it doesn't necessarily have to be a person.

It could be a wound we've never surrendered that has quietly become part of our identity. It could be fear, doubt, insecurity, bitterness, procrastination, living on survival mode or habits we've accepted as "just who we are" when God never intended them to remain.

As you navigate this new month, enter it with intention. Take inventory. Sit quietly in God's presence and ask Him this question:

**What or who has God called me to drive out so that I can have complete possession of the Promised Land He has prepared for me?**

The answer may reveal the one or two things that have been standing between you and the fullness of what God has promised.

And while you're at it, read the book of Joshua. Beyond the walls of Jericho, it is filled with wisdom, strategies,  courage, leadership lessons, and reminders of what it takes to walk fully in God's promises.

 

Praying that July is a month of clarity, obedience, and possession for you.
